Operation Shanela II nets over 1,000 suspects in Gauteng [SOUND]

# Over one-thousand suspects were arrested in Operation Shanela Two operations in various parts of Gauteng this past weekend. The arrests were made across all five districts in the province, namely: Johannesburg, Tshwane, Ekurhuleni and Sedibeng. Police spokesperson, Tintswalo Sibeko, says 31 suspects were apprehended for driving under the influence of alcohol. She says a total of 57 undocumented persons were apprehended, while 13 suspects were arrested for possession of drugs:
