NotInMyName condemns escalating bullying crisis in SA schools

# NotInMyName International has condemned rising bullying incidents in schools, especially in Mamelodi, the Eastern Cape, and the Vaal. The organisation secretary-general, Themba Masango, says violence and intimidation are destroying learners’ confidence and education, calling it a national crisis. Masango demands urgent action from the Department of Basic Education, school governing bodies, and communities, including stronger policies, mental health support, and accountability. He stressed that safe learning spaces are a right, not a privilege, and urges a collective stand against bullying.
