# The North West Provincial Treasury is strengthening support to municipalities to improve the management, spending and reporting of infrastructure grants. Treasury head Ndlela Kunene says effective grant management is essential to ensure public funds translate into infrastructure and services for communities. He says rollover applications have been received from ten municipalities and will be assessed by National Treasury in line with the Municipal Finance Management Act. He adds the applications must be based on unforeseen and unavoidable circumstances.
