# The Adventist Development and Relief Agency in South Africa says the number of people affected by the repatriation process was underestimated and misinformation on social media destabilised operations. Director Mhlonipheni Ncube says many people did not receive accurate information, leading to confusion and delays. He told the SABC better coordination is needed to manage future humanitarian movements effectively to ensure available support during repatriation efforts:

# Clashes in a Sri Lankan jail have killed at least 25 people, including four guards, and wounded more than 100 in the worst prison riot in more than five years. Local police say the wounded were rushed to the Negombo hospital, north of the capital of Colombo, following overnight clashes between inmates from two drug gangs. The prison houses nearly ten-thousand inmates. Police commandos have been called in but were not deployed inside the prison.
