# The Constitutional Court has ruled in favour of fathers stating that parental leave of four-months and ten-days must be shared between parents following the birth of a child. Justice Laura Lumka Tshiqi delivered the landmark judgment, saying caregiving should not be limited to mothers, as fathers can also be primary caregivers. She ruled that biological mothers will retain preference for recovery, but parents may now split leave as they choose:
# Solidarity has secured an agreement with US company Propay Prime to export South African online IT skills, allowing citizens to work for American firms while living locally. The plan will expand into sectors like finance, engineering, education, and design. CEO Dirk Hermann highlights the potential to create thousands of jobs without racial restrictions, leveraging modern technology to earn in dollars while living in South Africa.
# The Freedom Front Plus says the City of Tshwane’s choice and continued use of lawyers with a very low success rate is concerning. According to a report compiled by the metro’s Divisional Head of Legal Counsel, there are currently more than three-thousand-473 unresolved legal cases. The financial exposure of these pending cases, some dating back to 2008, exceeds 12.5-billion-rand.
