In this bulletin:
# President Trump says South Africa should not be in the G20
# Minister Kubayi confirms the extradition of AKA’s alleged killers from Eswatini
# And TLU SA says South Africa needs a clear economic direction
# US president Donald Trump says South Africa should not be in the Group of 20 major economies anymore. He has repeatedly accused the country of confiscating land and treating certain classes of people very badly, calling it a massive human rights violation. South Africa is preparing to host the G20 Leaders’ Summit in Johannesburg later this month, where US vice president JD Vance is expected to attend. Trump told the American Business Forum in Miami that bad things are happening in South Africa:
# The Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development, Mmamoloko Kubayi, has confirmed the receipt of the official extradition order from the Kingdom of Eswatini for brothers Siyabonga Gezani Ndimande and Malusi Dave Ndimande. The two are wanted in South Africa for a string of cases, including the murders of musician Kiernan “AKA” Forbes and Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane. The department’s spokesperson, Terrence Manase, says the two brothers abandoned their extradition appeal on Monday:
# Ahead of the Medium-Term Budget Policy Statement on 12 November, TLU SA warns that South Africa’s challenges, crime, failing infrastructure, and weak service delivery stem from misguided policies, not lack of funds. TLU SA’s Bennie van Zyl says the organisation calls for clear economic direction, competent leadership, and accountability, stressing that budgets fail when expertise and moral backbone are missing. He says real growth requires policy clarity and skilled execution:
# The Israeli military says Hamas has handed over to the Red Cross another deceased hostage, marking the third such transfer this week. If the latest remains are confirmed as those of a dead hostage, it will mean six others are still in Gaza. On Tuesday evening, the body of Itay Chen, the last Israeli-American citizen held in Gaza, was returned to Israel. On Sunday, Israel received the remains of three other hostages. Israel has repeatedly accused Hamas of deliberately delaying the recovery of the dead hostages’ bodies.
# Soccer: Manchester City recorded a comprehensive 4-1 victory over Borussia Dortmund to move up to fourth place in the Champions League table. Two goals from Phil Foden and one from Erling Haaland, his 18th of the season, and Rayan Cherki secured the victory. It was goals galore in Belgium as Club Brugge and Barcelona played to a six-goal thriller that ended in a 3-3 draw. Newcastle United defeated Athletic Club 2-0, while Chelsea played to a 2-2 draw against Qaraba.
# And the financial indicators: The dollar trades at 17-rand-37-cents and the euro at 19-rand-99-cents. One British pound costs 22-rand-70-cents and Bitcoin trades at 103-thousand-740-dollars. Gold sells at three-thousand-986-dollars-71-cents a fine ounce and Brent crude oil is quoted at 63-dollars-62-cents a barrel.
