# Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development, Mmamoloko Kubayi, will appear before the Khampepe Commission of Inquiry into the Investigation and Prosecution of Apartheid-Era crimes in Johannesburg today. Her testimony will include her role as minister in the investigation and prosecution of apartheid-era crimes, and the implementation of the recommendations of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission. The department says Kubayi’s participation underscores government’s commitment to ensuring that the commission has all the relevant information necessary to determine whether there were attempts to obstruct the investigation and prosecution of apartheid-era crimes.
# ActionSA member of Parliament, Dereleen James, has strongly denied claims made at the Madlanga Commission that she received classified Crime Intelligence documents. The allegations were made by Investigating Directorate Against Corruption state advocate Drushantha Ramsamy, who claimed the documents were slipped under James’ parliamentary office door. James has told the SABC her only interaction with IDAC came after she issued a statement calling on the Independent Police Investigative Directorate to investigate the alleged misuse of Covid-19 funds within Crime Intelligence:

Khwela was shot and killed at his offices in Klaarwater, west of Durban, yesterday. The KwaZulu-Natal Political Killings Task Team will be investigating the murder. ANC regional task team coordinator, Thanduxolo Sabelo, says political differences, criminality or any grievances can never justify the taking of a human life:

There have been three-thousand-973 confirmed cases and one-thousand-801 deaths recorded in the DRC. More than two-thirds of Ebola deaths are happening in the community rather than in treatment centres. Africa CDC director general, doctor Jean Kaseya, says containing and ultimately stopping this outbreak will come from communities:
