# Britain’s new prime minister, Andy Burnham, has pledged to introduce a new political and economic model aimed at restoring stability and rebuilding public trust. In his first speech outside 10 Downing Street, Burnham promised to improve public services, create more jobs, improve mental health support and invest in young people. He also announced his first act as prime minister would be to tackle homelessness:
