# Health minister Aaron Motsoaledi has announced the appointment of a new chairperson and members to the Interim Traditional Health Practitioners Council of South Africa. Sheila Fihliwe Khama is appointed chairperson, with Sarah Motha, Rapholo Joel Chauke, and Machiniba Sylvia Sathekge joining in various capacities. The minister says that these appointments, effective immediately, aim to strengthen the transformation and professionalisation of the traditional health sector until April 2026.
