NERSA calls on municipalities to calculate their electricity tariffs based on the costs [SOUND]

# The National Energy Regulator says it requires that all municipalities calculate their electricity tariffs based on the costs incurred in supplying customers. Nersa has announced the commencement of the review process for municipal tariff applications for the 2025/2026  financial year, which are set to be implemented on 1 July. Regulator spokesperson, Charles Hlebela says to date, NERSA has received a total of 130 applications, all of which are supported by cost of supply studies:
