# National Coloured Congress leader Fadiel Adams has questioned the authority of National Police Commissioner Fannie Masemola’s authority in the appointment of KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi to national task team. This following Masemila’s court appearance over the Medicare24 tender. Adams claims Masemola may have violated the Police Act. He also criticised what he called selective action on corruption, raising concerns about accountability within SAPS:
