National Task Team commits to urgent action at regressing human rights implementation

# The National Task Team on Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, Expression, and Sex Characteristics says it remains committed to ensuring that the rights of all people are protected and promoted. The task team, which was established in 2011, has expanded its mandate to include the prevention and combating of all human rights violations, discrimination, and barriers to equality. The task team’s recent meeting has resulted in firm commitments to accelerate legislative implementation, particularly the Prevention and Combating of Hate Crimes and Hate Speech Act, and strengthen provincial structures.
