National Shelter Movement pushes for African-led solutions to gender-based violence [SOUND]

# The National Shelter Movement of South Africa has issued a strong call for greater inclusion and representation of African and Global South voices in international platforms addressing gender-based violence. This follows the 5th World Conference of Women’s Shelters. While international counterparts often receive from 60 to 100-percent government funding, African shelters continue to operate under unpredictable and limited support. NSMSA’s Nadia Munsamy says African-led solutions must be amplified in future conferences:
