Motsoaledi calls Global AIDS report a wake-up, confirms further funding losses [SOUND]

# Health minister Aaron Motsoaledi says the Global AIDS Report is a wake-up call, urging African governments to take full responsibility for funding HIV responses. Speaking at the Bertha Gxowa Hospital, Motsoaledi criticised reliance on foreign donors like PEPFAR, warning that when funding is withdrawn, systems collapse. He also confirmed that the Global Fund has recently cancelled over one-billion-rand in funding for South Africa following the withdrawal of PEPFAR:
