Minister Kubayi says essential judicial services will continue after a fire at the KZN Himeville Magistrate’s Court [SOUND]

# Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development, Mmamoloko Kubayi, says a fire broke out at the Himeville Magistrate’s Court, within the Harry Gwala District Municipality in KwaZulu-Natal over the weekend. Preliminary information indicates that the blaze originated in the magistrate’s office after a contractor working on site started a fire in the office fireplace, which spread throughout the court building. The department’s spokesperson, Palesa Rammitlwa, says the Magistrate’s office, the offices of the National Prosecuting Authority, and the courtroom sustained severe damage:
