# The minister of Justice and Constitutional Development, Mmamoloko Kubayi has condemned the assassination of Johannesburg insolvency attorney, Bouwer van Niekerk. Van Niekerk was shot and killed on Friday at his law firm offices in Avonwold. The ministry’s spokesperson, Terrence Manase, says the news of his killing came shortly after the department received word of the fatal shooting of a male accused outside the Athlone Magistrate’s Court in Cape Town on the same day:
