# KwaZulu-Natal premier, Thamsanqa Ntuli, has welcomed the arrest of a suspect believed to be behind a mass murder case in Umlazi. Eight people, aged between 22 and 40, were killed at Zama Informal Settlement in May. It is understood that unknown suspects entered a home and shot them before fleeing the scene. Ntuli says this breakthrough by the police is a significant step towards justice for the victims’ families:
