# KwaZulu-Natal Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs MEC Thulasizwe Buthelezi has called on men to take greater responsibility as positive role models, providers and protectors in their families and communities. Speaking at a men’s gathering, Buthelezi raised concerns about absent fathers, crime, drug abuse and gender-based violence, urging older men to guide young boys. He said the government will continue working with traditional leaders, municipalities and civil society to build a safer and more prosperous province.
