# The Katlehong mass shooting accused, Fani John Sibeko, has provisionally abandoned his bail application in the Palm Ridge Magistrates’ Court in Gauteng. He faces charges of premeditated murder, attempted murder and firearm offences after allegedly opening fire on mourners, including ANCYL members returning from a memorial service last week. Four people died in the attack. Sibeko’s decision came after he consulted his lawyers, and as ANCYL members began filling the court gallery. He is expected to return to court on 19 November.
