Justice deputy minister emphasises the importance of Small Claims Courts [SOUND]

# The Justice and Constitutional Development deputy minister, Andries Nel, has commended the Small Claims Courts for their vital contribution to ensuring access to justice for all. Tuesday marked the 40th anniversary of the Small Claims Courts, which deal with civil claims informally, without the need for lawyers. Nel says today, 418 courts are operating across the country. He adds that this expansion has dramatically extended access to justice, particularly for previously marginalised communities:
