Joint Operations Centre established to monitor taxi routes in parts of the Western Cape [SOUND]

# The City of Cape Town’s Safety and Security Directorate says it has established a joint operations centre to monitor taxi routes in Somerset West and surrounding areas. Last week, the Western Cape government announced the closure of some routes between Khayelitsha, Lwandle, Mfuleni and Somerset West for 30 days. This follows ongoing tensions between taxi organisations.
