# Johannesburg mayor Dada Morero has reaffirmed his commitment to address to prioritise road infrastructure, enhance mobility and restore service delivery. He launched the War on Potholes in Region B, Ward 90 on Thursday. In April, South Africa’s largest short-term insurer, Santam, revealed that claims for pothole damage in Gauteng were up 25-percent from January to mid-April compared to last year. It will cost the metro around 700-million-rand to fix all potholes. Morero says this campaign is a significant step towards achieving the vision of building a world-class African city.
