Human Rights Commission to assess Vatsonga Machangani anti-tribalism memorandum [SOUND]

# The South African Human Rights Commission’s Tshepo Madlingozi says they will assess a memorandum submitted by the Vatsonga Machangani community following a march in Johannesburg against tribalism and xenophobia. Protesters say Tsonga-speaking South Africans are being harassed, profiled and mistaken for immigrants during anti-immigrant protests. The memorandum calls for stronger protection of citizens and harsher action against perpetrators. The commission has been given 15 days to respond:
