Hout Bay facilities restored with over R9 million investment in community spaces

# The City of Cape Town will reopen the Hangberg Civic Centre following a full refurbishment after its illegal occupation and vandalism. The Hangberg Civic Centre has been restored at a cost of just over 1.9-million-rand after illegal occupiers who had been there for several years were evicted, and the facility vandalised. This project is part of three community centres upgrades in the area costing nine-million-rand. Mayoral committee member for Community Services and Health,  Francine Higham says these facilities provide safe, accessible environments that create positive alternatives and opportunities for young people.
