Higher Education and Training announces stabilisation and governance support for the College of Cape Town [SOUND]

# The Department of Higher Education and Training has introduced a Stabilisation and Governance Support Team at the College of Cape Town to bring the institution back on even keel. The department’s spokesperson, Lucky Masuku says the SGST was established by minister Buti Manamela, in terms of Section 46 of the Continuing Education and Training Act. Masuku says the provision empowers the minister to intervene in circumstances where a public TVET college is mismanaged or unable to perform its functions effectively:
