Government says the safeguarding of children must remain a national priority [SOUND]

# As Child Protection Week draws to a close, government is calling on South Africans to continue prioritising the protection and well-being of children throughout the year. According to the South African Police Service crime statistics, about one-thousand-100 children were murdered in the country in the past financial year. Government spokesperson, Mfundo Nkosi, says the safeguarding of children must remain a national priority throughout the year:
