Government launches the Economic Development Fund Report of the MDDA [SOUND]

# Deputy minister in the Presidency, Kenny Morolong, has launched the Economic Development Fund Report of the Media Development and Diversity Agency. The fund was established in 2017 as part of consent agreements with the Competition Commission, following its investigation into anti-competitive practices within the media and advertising sectors. The MDDA was appointed by the commission to manage and administer the fund. Morolong says the initiative has had a positive impact on the media landscape:
