# The GOOD Party in the Western Cape says it is concerned about the lack of urgency by the Garden Route District Municipality, to respond to the call for cost-cutting proposals to reduce the eleven-million-rand deficit. The Budget Steering Committee requested the cutback proposals be submitted by the 14th of February, however, none of the senior managers have responded to this request. GOOD’s, Rosa Louw, says the standby cost structure must be reviewed, to ensure that it does not result in unnecessary expenditure:
