# The GOOD Party says that while the appointment of a commission of inquiry to probe allegations made by KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner, Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi, is well-intentioned, it is too slow and costly. The commission will investigate allegations relating to the infiltration of law enforcement, intelligence and associated institutions within the criminal justice system by criminal syndicates. GOOD’s secretary general, Brett Herron, says a commission of inquiry cannot replace a criminal investigation:
