# The GOOD Party says it has applied to join the South African Property Owners Association’s litigation, to have elements of the City of Cape Town’s new tariff regime declared unconstitutional. The association is challenging the metro’s cleaning tariff, the amended basic water charge, and the basic sanitation charge. GOOD’s secretary-general, Brett Herron, says according to mayor Geordin Hill-Lewis, opposition parties should fight their political battles in government chambers, not in the courts:
