George Municipality urges residents to tighten water use as dam levels drop [SOUND]

# The George Municipality in the Western Cape is urging residents and businesses to conserve water and strictly adhere to existing water restrictions. The Garden Route Dam storage level currently stands at 61.88-percent, reflecting a steady decline due to limited rainfall in recent months. Only four millimetres of rain were recorded between 7 and 13 of this month. The municipality’s spokesperson, Ntobeko Mangqwengqwe, says they have established a Water Management Task Team to strengthen their water-saving programme:
