There are odour issues in the water supply in Haarlem, while there is brown discolouration in the water in the Proteaville area. The municipality’s spokesperson, Ntobeko Mangqwengqwe, says these issues are due to recent rainfall, which has altered the conditions in the Haarlem Dam, affecting the quality of the raw water:
