Gauteng receives 28,000 more Lenacapavir packs to expand HIV prevention [SOUND]

# The Gauteng Health Department has received an additional 28-thousand-593 Lenacapavir initiation packs for distribution to 133 facilities. The new twice-yearly injectable drug is more than 96-percent effective at preventing HIV infection. Spokesperson Steve Mabona says the latest delivery will replenish clinics in Tshwane, Johannesburg and Sedibeng that had temporary shortages due to high demand since the rollout. He says Gauteng aims to initiate 114-thousand-160 eligible clients by March next year:
