# Gauteng police, together with its law enforcement partners, will officially launch its Safer Festive Season operations at the Tsakane Stadium in Ekurhuleni today. The operations are an effort to prevent and combat crime through heightened police operations and visibility. This is to ensure that residents and visitors feel safe, while those going on holiday are assured that their properties will be secured. Gauteng Police Commissioner Tommy Mthombeni, premier, Panyaza Lesufi, and the acting National Police Commissioner, Tebelo Mosikili, will be in attendance.
