Gauteng police arrest more than one-thousand suspects in Operation Shanela II [SOUND]

# Gauteng police arrested one-thousand-15 suspects during Operation Shanela II conducted across the province over the weekend. Those arrested include 84 motorists for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol and 124 undocumented foreign nationals for immigration offences. Police arrested suspects for tampering with essential infrastructure, drug-related crimes, and illegal liquor trading. Spokesperson Tintswalo Sibeko says detectives also apprehended 717 wanted suspects, including 138 linked to crimes against women and children:
