# The Gauteng Department of Human Settlements has exceeded several key delivery targets for the 2025/26 financial year. The department completed seven-thousand-976 housing units against a target of seven-thousand-503. The department also allocated five-thousand-445 homes to approved beneficiaries. It also acquired nearly 280 hectares of well-located land, exceeding its target. The department received an unqualified audit opinion for the fourth consecutive year and spent 97-percent of its budget. However, overall performance stood at 69-percent, with title deeds and land release requiring improvement.
