# The Gauteng Education Department has suspended two Infrastructure Unit inspectors linked to the Noordgesig Secondary School repair project. This follows a fire at the Soweto school on 27 June 2024. The Department’s spokesperson Steve Mabona says despite funds being allocated for urgent repairs, some upgrades were allegedly left incomplete or not done:
