# The Freedom Front Plus says the arrest of three former Knysna municipal officials over alleged corruption linked to a security services contract is a step towards greater accountability. The arrests involve former mayor Thando Matika, acting municipal manager Boy Ngubo and acting chief financial officer Busisiwe Lubelwana. The party’s Danie Acker says municipal managers should be appointed based on their qualifications, experience and integrity to promote accountable governance and improve service delivery.
