# The City of Tshwane says it has successfully energised four new mini-substations in Rama City. This milestone forms part of the metro’s #SwitchOnTshwane initiative, and represents a major step towards universal electrification. The project will provide formal and safe electricity connections to 240 households in phases 3 and 4. Mayoral committee member for Utility Services, Frans Boshielo, says this achievement follows the successful completion of phases 1 and 2, through which two-thousand-500 households in Rama City were connected to the electricity grid.
