# The Freedom Front Plus says the City of Ekurhuleni’s flawed power tariff system is characterised by inconsistencies, poor planning and inadequate public consultation. The National Energy Regulator of South Africa recently approved the metro’s 2025/2026 financial year tariffs. The FF Plus is demanding the disclosure of Nersa’s formal letter approving the tariffs and the immediate publication of a full consultation schedule. It adds that it will fight to protect residents from illegal and unaffordable tariffs.
