Festive season operations have started in Gauteng with the arrest of over 1,000 suspects [SOUND]

# Gauteng police arrested 75 suspects for allegedly driving while under the influence of alcohol over the weekend, as part of their safer festive season operations. The suspects were apprehended in Johannesburg, Ekurhuleni and Tshwane in a multidisciplinary operation led by Gauteng Police Commissioner Tommy Mthombeni.
