Equatorial Guinea president’s sex scandal nephew sentenced for embezzlement

# Equatorial Guinea’s president Teodoro Obiang Nguema’s nephew Baltasar Ebang Engonga, has been sentenced to eight years in prison for embezzlement. The provincial court of Bioko also imposed a fine of about 3.9-million-rand to the former head of the National Financial Investigation Agency. Engonga gained notoriety last year over a leaked sex tape scandal and diverted public funds for personal use. Five other officials involved in claiming illicit allowances were also found guilty.
