# The Electoral Commission has begun consultations on the feasibility of introducing electronic voting. Citizens have six months to submit their views. The process follows a three-day e-voting conference in Cape Town last month. A review of submissions will take place in October, with a draft policy expected by March next year. IEC CEO Sy Mamabolo told the media no decision has been made yet on whether e-voting will be used in the local government elections:
