# The EFF Student Command in Gauteng has launched a campaign aimed at helping township and rural learners with university applications and National Student Financial Aid Scheme funding. The initiative is supported by student representative councils from the University of the Witwatersrand, the University of Johannesburg and the University of South Africa. The EFF’s Mmeli Gabashe says it is a concern that many learners in township and rural schools struggle with university processes or lack resources to complete applications.
