# Eastern Cape Education MEC, Fundile Gade has called for a swift investigation following the deaths of two female learners from Nkululeko Secondary School in Kariega. The learners were killed, their bodies burned and dumped on Monday as the country commemorated Youth Day. Gade called it a heinous crime, urging law enforcement to leave no stone unturned. The MEC confirmed that the Department will support the families and prioritise learner safety in the wake of the tragedy.
