Eastern Cape Health set aside R200-million for specialist medicines, including cancer [SOUND]

# The Eastern Cape Health Department has allocated 200-million-rand for the procurement of essential specialist medicines, including cancer treatment. The department’s spokesperson, Sizwe Kupelo says 43-million-rand of this allocation will be utilised in paying pharmaceutical companies for cancer medicines that were owed from the last financial year. He says this payment is expected to be effected this week:
