# The deputy minister in the Presidency, Kenny Morolong, has officially opened Radio Mafisa’s new state-of-the-art studios and handed over broadcasting equipment in Rustenburg, in North West. Radio Mafisa, the oldest community radio station in the province, yesterday celebrated its 30th anniversary. The upgrade forms part of the Media Development and Diversity Agency’s programme to support community radio stations. Morolong says the upgrade supports media diversity and marks 30 years of South Africa’s Constitution, which protects freedom of expression and access to information.
