Data-driven policing and ethical practices encouraged at police summit [SOUND]

# Various policing agencies have been encouraged to adopt data-driven practices as a socio-economic approach to fight crime. Speaking at the Police Summit in Kempton Park, president Cyril Ramaphosa emphasised that using data to identify connections between crime needs modern technology in law enforcement, better collaboration among agencies, and stronger ethics within the SAPS. He also called on promoting accountability, integrity, and trust in policing:
