# The DA in the Western Cape has welcomed the handover of two state-owned properties in Malmesbury by the National Department of Public Works and Infrastructure to the provincial government this week. These properties will be repurposed to support individuals recovering from substance use disorders. The DA’s Wendy Kaizer-Philander says this handover is a demonstration of how government can work collaboratively to restore dignity and empower communities:
