# The DA in Tshwane has welcomed the metro’s confirmation that a transactional advisor will be appointed to advance its energy independence plan. The plan, devised under former mayor Cilliers Brink, had stalled due to delays in appointing an advisor needed to finalise a request for proposals. Brink has expressed scepticism over Tshwane’s successful implementation of the project:
